Smoke in the Air . . .

There was a desert fire about 70 miles West of where we live tonight. On the six o'clock news they said around 15,000 acres burned. Heavy smoke was in the sky and made for some great picture taking. It was amazing that the smoke was way high in the sky and did not smell like smoke at all on the ground. It was also very dark because it was between us and the sun. Made for some great lighting to play around with my camera. I like the first picture of the Grand Teton Mountain, about 55 miles to the East of us, where the sun was shining on them, smoke in the sky and dark where I was taking the picture from. It is so fun !

**Update** the fire was reported to burn around 170 square miles ***

Sunshine and no wind for family pictures on Saturday ! Angela, Cody, Maddy and Harisyn and of course Grandma Lori ! Thanks for lettting me be a part of your family for a few hours.

Flying Low . . .

Could hear the crop duster close by at around 7:15 in the morning, and then right above ! It was pretty cool and the sound is awesome . . .

Junior Rodeo !

Barrel racing, pole bending, break-a-way roping and goat tying are a few of the events for the Idaho Junior Rodeo Association for girls and boys between ages 0 to 16. I have a couple of families that I take pictures of and seem to learn a few things here and there too...

Relay for Life

Went to my first Relay for Life event on Friday and was a moving experience to see those in our area who are survivors and those who are still fighting! Great event for awareness of cancer ! My blessings go out to all who have endured cancer and continue to fight back, they are an inspiration for all. . .

Beautiful Bride !

Went to a wedding and was able to get some photos of the beautiful bride and of course my favorite cousin Chuck. It was a perfect day to celebrate ! Congratulations to the Griffin's !

This made me laugh !

Oh My Gosh this made me laugh! I was driving home one of the back ways tonight and found this "OPEN RANGE" sitting in the middle of a little field, that the owners take very good care of, and they have a very good sense of humor too !!

Flood Warnings !

We have had LOTS of rain and now we have Flood Warnings on the rivers around us. All the rivers have reached their flood stages and more. The paper said some people are having to sandbag, so their property doesn't flood out. More pictures to come. . .
